It’s the job of all world leaders to visit other countries. And seeing that the UK’s global reputation is in the gutter, it’s not a bad idea to visit other nations to rebuild relations, especially if they want to try and fix the damage Brexit did to trade with our European neighbours.
Lots to criticise Starmer about but this isn’t it
Ukraine to pay Russia for them to take the territory I assume?
The comments trying to paint this as somehow bad or negative is pretty hilarious. Starmer is continuing the strong support for Ukraine that even the tories supported. Now suddenly its a bad thing.
Getting very boring seeing a bunch of tories, bots and rich people getting upset with every single thing Labour does.
Ukraine is just over 100 years old. Will it still exist in 100 years? Only time will tell.
Next stop at my local hospital. They need funding too.
Good, regardless of our domestic issues we can and should help Ukraine stand up to Russian aggression.
You think they coulda just popped the papers in the post??
Even if you are a soulless bastard- spending money on Ukraine is by far the most effective and efficient way of spending our defence budget. Every £ spent there is being directly used to cripple our greatest national threat.
Can’t they do this shit over zoom or something? Fax over a signed document no flights necessary.
there was a peace deal in black till boris johnson went over and had it torn up
I’m proud of the way the UK has stood up for Ukraine and against Russian aggression. The commitment of 3bn per year is trivial to us, but absolutely vital to Ukraine and their ability to defend against the invaders.
People who are getting mad at this now but not during the last government are hypocrisy manifest.
Tory supporting Ukraine is great. Labour supporting Ukraine is bad
Glad to see that after only a few hours all the negative tories and bots are downvoted to collapsed comments at the bottom. Happy to see r/unitedkingdom being decent
Good, we must keep sending them more as well – best value for money you can get defence spending wise
Also good to see the misinformed dipshits (“hurr durr there was a peace deal, NATO bad”) and bots getting downvoted as always
Good move.
Not only supporting a country fighting tyranny, the tools of future conflicts are being developed on the bloody battlefields of Ukraine, and there are a lot of lessons to be learned.
