Fossil fuel advocate Nigel Farage is building a house in high climate risk area. The Reform UK leader is betting his home on climate denial, campaigners say.

It’s petty, but here’s hoping his home gets swept out to sea…
>The local climate change risk assessment for Kent and Medway in June 2020 [stated](https://www.kent.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0019/111385/CCRIA-for-Kent-and-Medway-part-two-people-and-the-built-environment-sector-summary.pdf.pdf) that there is a high risk of flooding in Romney Marsh. Due to sea level rises – which are projected to reach 40 centimetres by 2050 and a metre by 2100 – some parts of Romney Marsh could be lost entirely by the end of the century.
So Farage thinks he’s King Cnut. (The joke then writes itself……)
Didn’t Obama buy ocean front property?
Good. 😒
Bad enough, but to add insult to injury, he intends to make more of a mess. Selfish prick.
I’ll take that bet
Some people need to learn the hard way
Murphy’s Law says his house never gets touched, because life is just like that.
Climate change is real, but there are certain science and economic realities that point out that certain doomsday predictions aren’t quite in the cards.
The insurance companies bailed out of California, anticipating catastrophic losses from things like the current wildfires.
Don’t you think it off the. That they would still underwrite areas like the Hamptons, and other coastline areas? Don’t you think it odd that banks would still underwrite billions in mortgages if they know those homes will soon be underwater? How about the Obama’s buying homes worth millions, right on the shoreline?
I do not deny climate change at all. But I do question certain conclusions as to the results, as do hundreds of professors, Nobel laureates, and more. ANYONE who claims that it’s settled science is not a true scientist at all
Remindme! [1 year]
Sounds great, hope he sleeps on the ground floor..
Somehow I suspect that Green shed is not where he actually lives…
