Sorry, i think that looks like a timer switch for the hallway lights. They went out in x minutes. Oh no, my fault you re right thats the timer for the Nachtspeicherofen, the heating works with cheaper electricity at night and warms up a Medium like eg heavy stones which spend then the saved warmth at daylight into the flat.

We recently moved into our new rental apartment and we’re struggling with the old heater system. Our landlord is very hard to reach so maybe we’ll find answers on here.
We noticed that the radiators go cold during the night despite being turnt on which is not great considering it’s not going to get any warmer in Germany.
We looked into our “Sicherungskasten” and found this thing labelled as “Nachtspeicheröfen”. Does this have anything to do with our problem? And how do you use it? We have googled but have not found any manual online.
Maybe some of you guys got a better idea on what to do.
