It is very cold in Ukraine and every soldier could use something to warm up! We’ve been sending out supplies to keep everyone warm. Usually we are providing NVGs and scopes but to stay alive they also need to stay warm and have enough calories. See comments for how to help supply a gift pack!

  1. Ukraine Frontline and Protect a Volunteer have been working together to create a morale boost for soldiers on the front line and those in the hospital. Everything we are distributing is humanitarian and so 501c3 compliant, but purchased in Ukraine, with military discounts when possible, to support the local economy. We’ve given out 250+ gift packs to soldiers so far. We asked what they wanted and the common requests were for things to help stay warm and also some hot food. Totally reasonable!

The photos you see above are from multiple foreign soldiers on different teams. They all received socks, hats, neckwarmers, chocolates, protein bars, handwarmers, and a toothbrush. There is some variation as we had a lot of supplies donated directly and in different amounts.

We are sending out the next round and this time. We are sending warm socks, hand/foot warmers, oatmeal, protein bars, chocolate bars, soup, mashed potatoes, coffee, a shower pack, hot sauce, and a toothbrush. The example gift you see in the last photo costs around $25 for everything including the shipping to get it to them. It varies a bit as some teams have slightly different requests.

We normally get a lot of requests that are tough to fill such as for NVGs and scopes. We are definitely still getting those and still working on them! However, we also get requests for small things like hand warmers, zip ties, thermal clothing and socks, anything with extra calories, and always hot sauce. I’m convinced they drink sriracha by the gallon.

Any amount helps, and as u/UFL_Robin can tell you, I am VERY efficient with the shopping!
