I am going to Lapland, to Kittila, Ruka and Saariselka this February and will be doing some skiing and ski touring. I was wondering how to keep my toes warm, specially when being out with no nearby shelter. Do you guys use boot cover/gloves/blankets? Or maybe toe warmers?

“Lapland. So cold even your boots need gloves.”
Nah, never used these extraneous boot warmers not even in -30. Proper socks + proper footwear = No need for gimmicky neoprene slippers.
We Finns use layers.
Woolen socks will be enough. Never even heard of boot warmers.
Nope, just keeping my feet dry. I have only seen cross country skiers use those covers.
You can get electric heater for your boots, but skiing majorly sucks anyway when its windy and very cold. February is not great for skiing in Lapland.
I’ve always had socks that I only use with ski boots. Normal socks, even woolen ones are not great with ski boots because seams in calf area will hurt when the tight boot presses on it for the whole ski day.
You might have warm enough ones already if you’ve skied in other even somewhat cold places.
I’ve only ever used ski socks and a fitting pair of boots. Never heard of anyone trying to fit multiple pairs of socks into a ski-boot even in -25. Might want to bring along a spare pair of socks to change into if the ones on your feet get wet.
Are you doing cross country skiing? Renting skis? Have your own?
Ski boots are insulated. But if you use universal bindings then any boot will work.
I like Parkano boots
Proper merino ski socks are the answer. If your boots are the right size, you should only be able to put in one pair of socks. Multiple layers of socks will not be comfortable.
For touring there isn’t many other options, other than just to keep moving and try to stay warm. I usually bring a change pair of socks, in the case my toes get extremely cold, but at that point it’s too late tbh. If you think your toes will freeze off during a tour, you should not go.
Also make sure you are properly prepared for ski tours. In all these area you mentioned, cell service can be non-existent, and depending on where you go, there is real avalanche danger. Also even in February, daylight is short(ish). Getting help in these areas (outside ski resort bounds) can take a long long time.
I’ve never had temperature issues with my toes in ski boots and i wear just plain socks. In my opinion even if the weather is cold enough for your toes to freeze your face will be frozen way before your toes do.
I’ve personally felt like good merino wool socks or woolen non hand knittee socks work the best. Given you have good sking boots.
Be sure to avoid cotton socks closest to the foot. They get damp from your sweat, and then cold.
Those seem way overkill for lapland. Boots are already insulated and with proper socks there shouldn’t be much problems with keeping your toes warm. If there is, then your problem is likely with clothing.
