Hello fellow Slovakian friends from Brazil!
You might have heard about the Brazilian politician “Mamae Falei” (Arthur do Val) and his partner Renan. Recently they went on an allegedly “humanitarian aid” trip to Ukraine. A few days ago, someone leaked an audio where **Arthur stated that** **Ukrainian women are easy because they are poor**, among other outrageous things ([https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/06/brazilian-politician-arthur-do-val-sexist-remarks-ukraine-refugees-outrage](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/06/brazilian-politician-arthur-do-val-sexist-remarks-ukraine-refugees-outrage)). This has gained quite a bit of attention, with even combatants in the conflict placing a price for his head. Since his trip to Ukraine was entirely sponsored by donations, and given the horrible things he said, the true intent of his trip could be much darker, sexual tourism in a war-torn country to name one.
Today, Arthur’s political party released a (kind-of)-full disclosure of the multiple expenses he incurred during the trip. According to the document, he spent €7.648,01 on various things including: bandages, water filters, flashlights, batteries, and power banks. The thing that catches the eye, are the expenses they incurred with fuel: multiple receipts that apparently indicate purchase of fuel vouchers. In the document they claim that apparently they used 3 cars, but there isn’t a receipt that indicates they rented them (also, who was driving the third vehicle? and why 3?). This seems a bit suspicious for the following reason.
In Brazil, and very likely the whole world, brothels that accept credit cards often don’t charge under the name of the brothel for discretion. I suspect that these 2 were visiting brothels and their expenses were written off as gas expenses. Here is where I need help, I don’t speak Slovakian and I don’t know what their equivalent for a government issued company number ( like the Employer Identification Number in the US) is. So basically I need someone to look up the number in the receipts and see if they are really Gas stations or not.
If it gets proven that their expenses were not with humanitarian aid, they could go to jail, as they should, for wasting donation money.
Here is the link to their full accountability statement with receipts (for now): [https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21398192/missao-ucrania-mbl.pdf](https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/21398192/missao-ucrania-mbl.pdf)

The equivalent is IČO, and the one stated matches to Slovnaft, which is a real chain of gas stations (actually it’s a slovak refinery and this is its distribution chain). As far as I can see, these receipts look legit. If it’s forged, they have done their homework.
ICO 31322832 is Slovnaft https://www.finstat.sk/31322832
Slovnaft is member of the MOL group and the prepaid cards seem to be https://molgroupcards.com/sk/karty/gift-karta
Slovak company identification number is called IȡO, you can find companies in our online company registry by IČO here [https://www.orsr.sk/search_ico.asp](https://www.orsr.sk/search_ico.asp)
I’m pretty sure the “brothels don’t charge under the name of the brothel for discretion” just means that the brothel’s official registered company name is different, that’s a common practice, like I can imagine a brothel registering as “Slovnafft” or something which sounds like a gas station, but claiming other company’s name and address on the receipts seems like fraud which should be illegal. And the names and addresses of the companies seem legit (Dr.Max is a pharmacy chain, Tesco is a supermarket chain, Decathlon is a sporting goods chain and Slovnaft is a gas station chain)
They look legit. Tesco is a grocery store chain, Dr. Max is pharmacy chain, Slovnaft is gas station chain and Decathlon is sporting goods store.
Prostitution in Slovakia is neither legal nor illegal – it’s like a hole in the law. But still, brothels are usually disguised as bars, night clubs, erotic massage parlors, hotels or hostels – often, from name itself nobody would say it’s brothel. But I never heard about them disguising as gas stations or pharmacies – especially not as Slovnaft, Tesco or Dr.Max, which are chain stores known well by everyone. Receipt is official legal document, and if some business (like brothel) printed a receipt with a name and IČO (ID number of business) of different business, they would be in for a big legal trouble.
Still, they spent a lot on gas. Interestingly, on prepaid coupons, which makes no sense if they wanted to use gas for themselves, they probably bought those coupons to give them to refugees with cars to help cover their voyage.
On the other hand, I can imagine them buying gas coupons, then selling them to someone local for cash, and then using the cash for whatever they wanted. But that is practically impossible to prove.
Slovak, not Slovakian
lol, Brazilian calling someone else poor. Good one
As other mentioned they look legit, but also they are tracable and you can check them.. you probably did that.
