Not surprising. There are so many startups out of London, and as a nation we at least appear to be doing more on immediate tackling of Climate Change than most big European countries.
Hopefully we get a lot of fierce competition both nationally and internationally as cheaper and more effective climate tech solutions are needed ASAP.
Also holding out for some amazing nuclear advancements from Paris
Why is Germany so shit on CC? Surely people are aware of it? Their CDU are fairly centrist but did nothing for CC
In UK I’ve read multiple of stories of start-up companies wanting to start battery production for electric vehicles and some/many of them are fishing for government handouts. However, I know someone who went to a motor industry event and according to an industry analyst the UK supply chain for car batteries is pretty much a done deal for every large car manufacturer. The only unknown at the moment seems to be JLR but there’s a factory planned somewhere in Coventry.
I remember a late 90’s dilbert cartoon where one of the characters grew a ponytail and venture capitalists would throw money at him because they thought he must have cool web based business.
