  1. I’ve never seen a jar of homemade jam without the name of the house it was made in written on the label

  2. Very nice, I have a fine 2017 damson I’m saving for my wedding day

  3. Somewhere 2008ish i treated myself to a jar of cherries in syrup grandpa made back in ’89.

They were pitch black, mold free and absolutely delicious.

  4. My parents had their kitchen redone a few years back. While the cabinets were out, we found an unopened jar of some kind of jam – the use by date was some time in 1998. They bought the house in 1999 so god knows how long that jar was there

  5. I found a tin of vegetarian hot dog sausages in the back of a cupboard over 10 years out of date. My daughter has insisted we keep them as a ‘family heirloom’.

  6. Bit of a stupid question how did they get it air tight like that?

  7. My dad used to make jams and chutneys, and sometimes when i visited he’d give me a jar to bring home.

  8. It’s tasty fine should it’s jam and doesn’t really go off after so long.
