  3. I suspect over half of the apparent users are either bots or legacy (abandoned) accounts. I made sure to formally ‘delete’ mine when I finally left a few months ago the toxic soup Twitter has become.

    Final straw was repeated reporting of hate accounts (i.e. really explicit comments) that **weeks later** I would be advised that the account was operating within terms and conditions….

  13. The hypocrisy of the last couple of weeks regarding the Twitter situation has been a sight to behold.

    Where were those many voices clamouring for the end of Twitter back in the mid-2010s when it was widely used as a propaganda tool by ISIS, convinced thousands of western-born people to join an enemy state and hundreds more to commit terror attacks in Europe?

    Oh yeah, fucking nowhere. It was just business as usual.

    And now we’re supposed to clap like sea otters while listening to politics and journalists demanding to shut it all down because “Musk bad”?
