Im 100% convinced that the US will launch serious tariffs on Denmark at the very beginning of his term. Its utterly fucked up and makes no sense. Im still convinced that its partly Trump wanting a real estate deal, and him wanting revenge for the Danish PM saying it was absurd for the US to buy Greenland(Which it is)

One thing that is beginning to be clear is that Russia is in panic.
Danish intelligence discovered Russia fabricated information and shipped to USA key persons near Trump indicating Denmark would sell Greenland. The orangutang took the bait hard and instead of admitting he got played he increases pressure on Denmark.
But that was not what Russia wanted. They aimed to make trouble for Denmark. A key supporter of Ukrainian freedom fighting. Russia did not want USA grabbing Greenland and increasing tension in the arctic region.
So expect more misinformation from Russia in the weeks to come.

If the German chancellor made a statement today that the country needed to expand its border for national security, I strongly suspect that most Germans would react negatively and that the chancellor would be replaced. I believe that it’s something that would not go ignored.
Trump is not yet the president but I suspect that his threats will have no consequences to his future presidency.
Very simpel: Greenland has to become full member of EU and we open a permanent military airforce & naval base in Greenland with accord from Greenlandic parlement under the leadership of Denmark. We have to start showing more unity in Europe, not only economical, but also military and political. The rest of the world doesn’t give a shit about us, so time to take care of ourselves.

In my opinion, the Danish and Greenlandic governments successfully called his bluff. He claimed taking Greenland would be for strategic and economic reasons. Denmark and Greenland offered to cooperate closer with the US in those matters. Trump declined. Because it’s not about that. It’s about “making America great” – or in other words imperialism.
Unfortunately, MAGA voters refuse to even look at any of his negative sides. All they do is praise him. They’re too busy “owning the left” to realize what they actually voted for. Either that, or they actually support it willingly, which I believe is the case for a lot of them.
He won’t either. He’s probably forgotten what he said. And if he’s confronted with what he said, his first response will be “I never said that”.
It’s time NATO sends troops to Greenland as deterrment, like we did sending troops to the Baltics to deter Russia.

These tariffs are to threaten governments and their businesses into donating into his fraud campaign so he can keep the money. If the world at some point decides not to deal with U.S. anymore he could give spit. We will burn as he prospers.

I think Europe needs to continue on the path we dis during the last Trump period due to this behavior – more trade deals with regions outside of the US.
I feel like there were a million better ways to achieve closer integration with Canada and Greenland, and he chose the worst possible path.
