   ..yeah it’s too late. I already filled up my car at an extortionate price before I’d heard.

3. I was trying to hold off but the truck needed diesel this morning. €2.10 per litre in Lucan. Ffs!

5. Hopefully with this announcement people *will* hold off on filling up, so petrol stations will lower prices where they can to entice people again. Delaying the introduction of this cut might actually have a bigger benefit than the actual cut.
