Just seen this article posted about candidates missing out on the jobs cause of technical issues during their video interview. Hadn't heard anything myself so wondering if anyone else has heard back? I was expecting the merit list to be published towards the end of Feb so this story comes as a surprise.

It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of [concerns over privacy and the Open Web](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmputatorBot/comments/ehrq3z/why_did_i_build_amputatorbot).

They tend to send out the email letting people know they *haven’t* passed first, en masse, before sending out the individual pass/merit position emails I think.
But if you haven’t heard anything you could contact them to double check you haven’t missed an email, maybe get a timeframe on when you’ll hear back or something…
There’s always issues with the competitions. It takes HRConnect ages to sort their lists and you’re placed anywhere at all.
I’m currently working for the NICS through the recruitment company. I have spoken to our union representative and they estimated mid to late February for notification of successful candidates.
I was one of the people with technical issues the last round and that response from the NICS representative is a whole load of horse shit. End user issues my hoop…
I sat the interview and haven’t heard anything yet.
I think another thread mentioned it could be the end of January. I would be devastated to hear I failed through technical issues. This is the first time I’ve made it to an interview. ( Didn’t score high enough last time)
Although I saw an FOI that said there were 9908 people who applied and 5161 who sat the test. That’s quite a few who chose not to complete the test.
I think that article relates to the last AO competition that was closed just before the current one opened.
HRC are the worst thing to happen to NICS..
It may be up until April before you hear back when the new financial year starts, but should hopefully be February or early March if possible
This won’t impact the list coming out and those that followed the competition guidance.
Checking your equipment works before sitting the interview was clearly recommended.
Those that didn’t check ruled themselves out.
It’s good for you though. Less competition.
Best of luck
Was this a general AO competition, or the one for the specific dwp contract jobs?
