I believe that would make them the ninth migrant we know about who’s died in the past few months trying to illegally enter the EU.
It’s just stupid on all fronts. Belarus doesn’t care about human rights at all, with torture and executions. Poland is also quite on the ball when it comes to expelling migrants who fail to gain asylum as the last few years have shown that failed asylum seekers very rarely get the right to remain in the country compared to other EU nations.
These migrants from MENA need to look closer to home. If they can afford to spend over 10K USD on migrating illegally they should be able to afford to move to safer countries with shared culture.(Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, etc)
To spend all of your savings to freeze to death in a forest or drown in a river is just stupidity. Unbridled stupidity.
FRONTEX should ask migrants they intercept whether they’d rather be sent back to Belarus or back to Iraq and then just issue deportations. Take their fingerprints and ban them from acquiring a Schengen Visa for 10 years.
