Crypto make all transactions TRACEABLE from the beginning to the end to/by EVERYONE avoiding shady intentions from no-ethical institutions, this is why I support crypto. A regulation is needed but not a ban, crypto is the next step in the evolution of the economy like it was internet for communication.
Edit: most people just overhear “I get rich!” “I lost everything!”, that is not crypto, that is market, go to WSB and it’s the same, people investing in companies and losing everything or gain huge profits. But the core of everything is the technology behind. Before have a opinion research (first of all understand what Blockchain is)
Edit2: people was thinking internet was evil, a shady place where people do dark things, this mentality is now here for crypto, but it’s the same and a shame
Am I totally wrong or crypto currencies use lots of electricity and are often used for shady transactions?
a crypto thread on reddit no doubt the conversation will be nuanced and involve people who actually know what they’re taking about
What are they horried about? Every time a potential ban gets reported on people on reddit say how stupid politcians are for thinking they could ban cryptos.
good.
wtf is “Crypto Industry”, is it an industry and what are the economic benefits of having this industry?
Bye cryptos
Oh well. They can fall back on inherent value… oh wait.
Sounds like what Putin would say.
Definitely good.
Good.
Nice, environmental concerns should prevail, specially these times when energy is finicing Putin war.
Fuck crypto, won’t be missed.
Oh no
Anyway
Okay if following existing environmental regulation is an existential threat maybe that industry needs to change? Just a thought…
I thought the whole point of crypto was to be immune to government intervention m. Can’t they just, uh, ignore this intervention? s
Well then people behind crypto should start squeezing their minds and begin preparing a new crypto 2.0 (or whatever version is next), that aims to solve the e-waste side of it.
Buzzwords sell just fine even without layers and layers of unnecessary complexity that noone understands or would ever want to.
Many people (including myself) are not willing to accept the fact that over 2000 kilowatt hours of electricity are spent on every transaction (for perspective that equivs to over 2 months of electrical usage for a typical household).
The fact that even after over a decade since the crypto debute – this problem is still not solved and instead more and more derivates of the same problem are produced – has made me shift from being an avid enthusiast to a full stop.
