1. Facing a “Battery Tsunami” and ridiculously cheap solar panels, drilling for more oil and gas will only create more stranded assets, but the belief in a “comeback” of fossil fuels is strong in some people.

2. Rich people chasing wealth and materialism will be the death of all of us.

3. Each of us need to prioritize solar panels and battery storage in our individual dwellings and businesses and go out in our environments and start managing what we can…and stop consuming anything not necessary in our lives. We need to quit being blind consumers. However, we will be told we are traitors for not blindly consuming the ‘enemies’ goods and services, so being a true patriot will require bravery, the likes of which Americans are unfamiliar. This will require sacrifice and so I am not hopeful that Americans are capable of surviving into the future. America is about to go through a boom and everyone without any morals or integrity will be thinking they are winning…but eventually the comeuppance will arrive and the bust will cause misery on a continental scale.

4. The demand for oil won’t rise. Instead lower prices will cause Bankruptcy of oil companies. Or: no major effect from the program.

5. There is hope.

6. They will drill for as long as we combust.
