>The Oscar winner recently revealed he wants “to play a bad guy,” using the 007 franchise and Hugh Grant’s recent performance in Heretic as inspirations for the type of villainous role he’s manifesting.
>“I would love to play a bad guy. Like a Bond villain. Or the kind of thing Hugh Grant does in Heretic,” he told Empire, adding: “I want to go out of my comfort zone and just play this diabolical, really bad guy. That would be a lot of fun.”
He should’ve played the villain alongside his good guy lead role in his latest film ‘Love Hurts’. Would’ve been nice of him being twins.
I would love to see him as a bad guy.
He should have been the bad guy in the last Indiana Jones.
Short Rounds revenge for being forgotten
He can be a tech guy. He doesn’t give villain energy
I mean sometimes the most bone chilling villain is the one you think is your best friend. Let him cook.
Can’t be a bond villain with a high pitched voice. It’s the truth.
Harrison Ford might have another Indiana Jones movie in him. Maybe he can be a bad guy in the next film. Wouldn’t that be something?
I bet he can pull it off
Worst idea ever
Good for him for wanting to do more as an actor. I’d like to see what he could do.
Do no as the reboot
I’m sure he does.
He would be absolutely terrifying as a Bond villain.
I would love to see him as a Bond villain!
Nah he’s too cute to be a Bond villain
Bond villain would be so much fun
The new Keyser Soze
I’m imagining Data having grown up from The Goonies, and having been picked on in his teens, became a tech-obsessed villain.
Kind of a reverse Karate Kid -> Cobra Kai.
Mission impossible villain.
Someone get him a meeting with A24
I’d say a serial killer could work. Not bond villain. He’s not that type of bad guy
Better cover your heart
I love it whenever actors aren’t typecast and instead play roles that are completely outside their comfort zones!
I picture a really polite quiet individual snapping “Falling Down” Michael Douglas style for him. I think that would be perfect. Starts out the movie being super quiet and polite towards everyone being rude to him, til he just snaps.
