   To think they actually had democracy  recently as 2000 and threw it all away so they could go back to inflicting fear on their neighbors is insane. 

   TV shows and movies from the 1990s that show joint US-Russian cooperation have become depressing relics in hindsight.

10. We are weird animals. To be driven to this by another animal who you’ve never met yet decides you are to be sacrificed. All other animal species require direct stimulus for response. Imagine having no will to live but be willing to ant up for a midget.

Looking at his surroundings and him having more than one rifle at his disposal, it’s easy to assume that his whole unit was wiped out and he was stuck there, not receiving any food or water, surrounded by corpses, drones buzzing around, abandoned and unable to go anywhere, a bullet to the head was probably a really tempting idea, and it obviously prevailed.
