  1. When I hear him speak I always have to think about what voice he’s trying to hide with his acted low calm emotionless voice.
Maybe he has a weird laugh or high pitch when you speak to him off camera.
The acting makes it had to take him serious

  2. He basically blames Zelensky and everyone, and claims all criticisms of him and the interview are from bots.

    lol

    What a piece of shyt.

  3. this guy thinks he’s the second coming of jesus in the interviewer world

    its embarrasing

  4. Jesus this guy creeps me out. He sounds like an HR person or a manager trying to convince an employee to do something against his interest and pretend like it’s for his own good.

Does anyone know the story with this Andrii Bohdan guy he’s referencing?

  5. He claims he wants long lasting peace and humanity flourishing. So how will Ukrainians flourish and have peace under Tsar Putin’s rule?

He talks about peace as if it’s this magical end to all geopolitical strife, an event we could easily bring about if only we wanted to, echoing his infantile understanding of geopolitics. In the same breath he denigrates those who want justice, who refuse to entertain the idea that surrendering to an imperialist invader would bring about peace.

What an absolute clown. We lived in a world where people like this, inept, immature, devoid of any expertise or moral commitment, were ignored or mocked. In our day and age, someone like him can foster a massive platform. One that he uses for no benefit to mankind whatsoever.

  6. Anyone else think Lex’s face looks like he’s constantly about to shit his pants or perpetually just did?

  7. This was a terrible interview. After this interview, Lex can no longer hide his Russian bias. Zelenskyy comes off as a better person and clearly lays out his and his countries positions in a thoughtful and calm manner. It was obvious that Lex is in favour of peace but only under Putrid’s terms which is obviously not acceptable to the Ukraine.

  8. How to spot a Russian: the face. They are afraid they will become gay and their soul will be eaten by a gay if they ever smile.

  9. He’s like every other media person trying to maintain favor with the US right wing, that means helping with setting the stage to cut aid to Ukraine by essentially running a smear campaign against the entire country, making it look like they’re the ones prolonging the war rather than placing the blame, and the aid, where it’s most useful; right on the foreheads of the Russian government.

You can already see mainstream media coverage shifting on the Russo-Ukrainian war, although public support for Ukrainian aid in the US is still relatively high I gotta wonder if the incoming admin is even capable of understanding the importance of Ukraine to the world, especially as the climate shifts Ukraine is projected to retain most of its farmland while others are going to lose out, and not by a small margin either.

For an admin that’s already droning on endlessly about national and global security, I sure do hope protecting Ukraine doesn’t need much explanation…

  10. I cannot see how someone can remain as naive as this guy for so long. He’s a twat.

  11. the last minute of the video he goes into full cope and seethe mode, wow he’s mad.

  12. I had never heard about this retard before the interview. Just watched a little of the above video and it really hurts to listen to the idiot. He tries to be serious then says shit like interwebs etc, sounds like a comic strip from dilbert. And he mentions he is friends with Joe Rogan, says it all.

  13. Lex Fridman is a paid oligarch apologist. Full stop. It’s literally his job to try and launder the reputations of the worst people in society.

  14. This wasn’t even a “interview” , there was no
interviewer.I lost all my respect for lex as a serious Podcaster on this one .. Like forgot whatever bias he has , he asked absolutely nothing all he had to contribute to this historic interview was “was I had dream” ten times and” I hope they open they open the airport soon ” ..

Just pathetic really , idk if he’s dumb or just has a big head but it seemed like he thought he was in a postion to sway Zelenski to peace ..

And let’s not forgot the point were he forcefully makes Zelenski drop to his knees for Trump and Musk ..

  15. Basically he’s saying how dare Zelensky not praise the person who decided to invade his country and kill Ukrainian citizens. Sickening. I always suspected Lex of being a paid russian agent, now he’s fully admitted it.

  16. He’s a disgusting human being who will justify war criminals like Pootin, I personally avoid him as much as possible because he’s on the kremlins payroll.

  17. Lex cashed in all of his credibility to try to make russia look good here. He’s done.

  18. Lex the intellectual pantomime, is a recursive caricature, stoic romantic, childish pragmatist. He’s as if swooning on a couch intellectually was given a Russian accent. edit: like he 100% believes his meaningless PHD adjacencies give him the keys to the clown kingdom.

  19. Even the shit question aside, the weird AI dubbing alone was off-putting.

  20. I’m glad the interview was a success (just not for lex). One less russian disifno campaign.

  21. I’ve listened to some parts of Lex’s interviews in the past, but I’m not a close follower of him. From my understanding, its not normal of him to make a follow up video to an interview where he goes through the reaction he’s received.

The fact that he made this video speaks volumes about his denial of reality in regards to his bias against Ukraine and Zelensky. To take time to make a separate video stating that he received only praise from individuals he knows– as if that negates the mass of opinions critcal of him online– and then blame the overwhleming number of criticisms on bots is completely unhinged and an act of unbridled egoism.

Lex, if you’re reading this, I want to say some things to you. I am not a bot. I never had anything against you previously. You had an opportunity to present a rare, in-depth perspective of a man in charge of a country under attack who ONLY wants peace from the invader he’s been defending against for the last three years. This, of course, does not mean that he will turn over control of his nation to the invader in order to have peace. He knows who he is dealing with, which is a monstrous 20 year, billionaire dictator who has shaped complete control of his country and thrown his population to the slaughter to achieve his goals. Your comment during the interview, filled with passionate insistence, about “but don’t you think that Putin cares about his people” showed your ignorance about the origins of the war and opponent that Zelensky is facing when it comes to creating peace for now and the future.

All you had to do was ask honest questions and make honest intelligent responses. Instead you acted like a fresh out of law school prosecutor awkwardly trying to convict your interviewee. You were not “challenging” you were contrarian and resistant to what he had to say, because you came in with an already established opinion on the matter, and this opinion which was so ignorant and lacking in the basics about the Russians responsibility in this came through.

Just because you said that you “prepared” doesn’t mean that you prepared well. If your points are all about how to attack and contradict Zelensky rather than to learn about the topic from the person you’re interiewing, clearly you’re not there to bring out the truth, but to try to bring about your opinion on things.

Everyone can have a bad day at the office. But you’re refusing the criticism you’ve received and the opportunity to learn from it, instead acting like a petulant child and making a 17 minute video saying anyone criticizing you is wrong and you are right, their reasons be damned. Has Charlie Rose, Ed Bradley, or Mike Wallace ever felt the need to make a video like that after an interview? What makes you so impervious to criticism, particularly when it is so overwhelmingly in unison about you coming off as ignorant and biased on this topic?

Related to this, I’m wondering why you never made a report about your previous trip to Ukraine and all of the people you spoke with? Youre talking about how difficult it was for you to process the experience is not an excuse. You are are a reporter, so why not report? Could it be that you didn’t like what you heard since it contradicted your deep biases about who is responsible for the conflict?

From my perspective, you come off like the many Russians I’ve met living outside of Russia. Most of them refuse to accept that their nation (the one they escaped due to fear for their lives) is at fault due to having major fundamental societal issues. They’ll appear to be slightly critical of them in order to appear to be balanced, but scratch the surface a bit and ultimately they’ll try to find any possible reason to blame others for the horrific behavior of Russia.

I sincerely hope that you do interview Putin. That will show your true self, as speaking for two hours with a butcher face to face should have the impact to show you the truth of who is fueling this conflict and who is responsible for the impossible challenge of creating the “just peace” you claim to want so badly.

If your intentions are pure, we’ll see in real time your realization of how wrong you’ve been, as you look into the eyes of a sociopath of the highest degree. Or we’ll see you kowtow to him and give a softball interview which is done to support your chase for clout, which is no doubt fueled by your lust for fame and recognition, and loyalty to your “native land” through ignorant propaganda you’re unable to spot as well as likely epigenetic reasons you’re unaware of.

Bottom line: you have a long way to go to be a mature intellectual. Hopeful naivete and a self-declared “open heart” to things doesn’t matter if it doesn’t show up on screen. Better for you to learn about self-perception versus reality if you want to get better.

  22. isn’t posting russian narratives against the rules of this place?

  23. I have listened to many interviews and can’t imagine how you could do it even worse than this?
No structure, pushing propaganda, asking dumb questions, asking only surface questions because in-depth questions are to hard for him? Politics are complicated. Trying to do it like a joke hurts everyone here.
If you asked Putin dumb questions and made such dumb statements … you would fall from a window probably really soon.

  24. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

  25. Russian worm lex can’t fathom that Santa isn’t real and Putin doesn’t actually love his country

  26. I want to throw up every tune I hear his voice.

A puppet of trump, huge Soviet mentality that he can’t take out of his head.

  27. My task: Unsubscribe and apologize to people I told them about him.

  28. I feel like if you tried to give Lex Fridman a blood exam you would find he had no bloodflow to speak of.

  29. I puked in my mouth several times while listening to his bullshit and ego

  30. It was a good interview, in that it gave clear insight into the challenge in negotiating a truce and completely naivety of those ‘with dream’ that simple words and dialogue will magically bring about the second coming of Jesus.

  31. Can someone paraphrase so I don’t have to give this piece of shit a click?

  32. From the first moment when he tried to convince Zelensky to speak russian i figured out that this was gonna be biased. It seemed like someone told him to do it in russian oh and im Ukrainian, no his russian is not fluent, not at all.
The second thing when he twice during the interview basically said “Talk about how much you love Trump” i thought that was super weird

  33. I love the “You didn’t win” vibe coming from Lex, this whole video is a 18 minute long Scrub Quote:

“Everyone I know said I’m smart and handsome”

“I’m so good at diplomacy, but Zelenskyy didn’t listen to my brilliant BUT HAVE YOU TRIED PEACE THOUGH plan”

“Peace is a compromise, so Zelenskyy should compromise with the man who openly wants to destroy Ukrainian nation”

“Can’t say bad words about a man who tried to kill you, your family, your friends and everyone you know multiple times”

  34. Lex = Russian fascist !

Can’t hide your true colors, besides he thinks he’s so ‘smart’ while he’s just your regular town idiot.
