Wow, can’t recall ever hearing someone contradict a character reference in court.
Tony Hunt not happy with the defence and rightly refused to suspend any of the sentence.

Fair play to those two former partners for coming forward to contradict the BS. And I hope the woman in this case gets some semblance of relief now that it’s over. Great too that Mr Justice Tony Hunt declined to suspend any of the sentence.
Why haven’t the people who perjured themselves by giving fraudulent character witness evidence been prosecuted yet?
We could also do with the Defence Forces confirming quite urgently if those witnesses are members of the Defence Forces.
Why are the defence able to fabricate his character. Surely they should be responsible for doing so?
Prime example for why character witness statements are archaic nonsense and shouldn’t ever be accepted by courts. Crime is a crime regardless of the character who did it.

What’s with the sexual harassment in the defence forces?
The rape happened the summer of ’21. He was taken in by the guards pretty soon after the attack. It’s mentioned that he has 5 kids ranging from 12 to 3.
So some woman out there either had his 5th child while he was awaiting trial for 6 counts of sexual assault or he already had someone pregnant when he decided to do what he did?!

This guy is going to get punished/jumped badly in prison for the 8 years for what he did and he’ll regret what he did for everyday of those 8 years. Need the chair for people like him. Feels shameful knowing my taxes are going to feeding this lowlife
