Steak From Aldi… Lads do these steaks look similar to wagyu or kobe beef or are they just diseased and I’m a dope ๐Ÿ˜‚

  1. Pretty standard marbling for quality rib eye I’d say. Extra grain in their diet at this time of year would contribute. Just means they’ll be juicy and flavourful as all fuck. Probably best just a shade over medium rare to render that properly. I’m jealous.

  2. Yes they are both rib eye and we’re both very tender the one with the white packaging was 8 euro and was dry aged Angus and the clear package was 4.89 or something both were very tender and juicy I was just. Wondering did I get lucky or is it the same up and down the country… I have got steak like this in Aldi before and I took a pic because I watched alot of steak videos and they always going on about the marbling score (guga foods youtube channel) just wondering if anyone else sees this often? Thanks for the replies lads ๐Ÿ‘

  3. The steaks are perfectly normal looking. The fat deposits are called “marbling” by gourmet chefs. People cooking on backyard grills call the fat deposits “fat”.

  4. Looks like a standard rib eye steak to me.

Nowhere near the level of marbling you would see on wagyu though.

  5. They’re gone off, send them to my house and I will dispose of them via burst incineration and application of aromatics

  6. Butchers counter or Supervalue butcher for me. Like looking through the meats and selecting the cut and thickness myself. Donโ€™t like plastic packaging on prepacked stuff and avoid anything in plastics generally when shopping.
