18. The United States is still going through an energy transition and a transportation transition. We are building tons of factories which will be producing solar panels, batteries, wind turbines, electric vehicles, and the equipment required to make them work. People claim that Trump will be Elon Musk’s lackey in office. Elon Musk who owns a company that makes electric cars, batteries, and solar panels.

    Climate agreements do not have the same impact as actual industrial policy and technological deployment. There is plenty of damage Trump can do with those two things. That is where the scrutiny really needs to be. This energy transition is not going to happen by passing political agreements.

41. For all the talk / research on climate change, the Paris Accords are fundamentally flawed. For example, from the [UN NDC Registry](https://unfccc.int/NDCREG), the official climate goals for the accords, Chinas goal is “peak co2 by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2060.
