  1. In “honor” of Trump’s (unconstitutional and therefore void) inauguration today, and his promised threat to declare an “Energy Emergency” to ramrod fossil fuel projects through the denial machine…. I’d like to revisit this 2018 article about the FIRST RULE for refuting lies: NEVER REPEAT THEM.

For example if I say “We are talking on Facebook” it would be self-defeating for you to write back saying “No, we are *not* on Facebook”. All the audience hears is “Facebook”, “Facebook”, “Facebook”, “Facebook”. QUICK… name a social media platform……… Most people, at least subconsciously and if only for a nanosecond first think “Facebook”.

For another example, do not start a climate change article with “Were the LA fires really about poor land management?” Now you have the audience thinking “poor land management” instead of “climate change”.

And so on. ALWAYS REFUTE LIES WITH THE TRUTH

In more detail…. read the article linked in the OP.
