He’s correct, I want another Terminator. I haven’t even seen the first Avatar.
Avatar 2 was made for exactly two people, James. Those two people are James Cameron and Avatar Tattoo Guy.
What exactly do people expect from Avatar besides a massive showpiece of technical CGI which this will surely be? Don’t get me wrong, I thought Way of Water was better than the first, but I have absolutely no expectations for the next one.
These movies are just a visual spectacle. No substance. People defend these things like it’s the Godfather or something. They are just a neat thing to look at.
Honestly, I kinda go into these movies to just see a world that’s so radically different from our own that I’m entertained regardless. They’re never the deepest or most interesting stories to me, but I enjoy the rides I’ve been taken on twice.
I loved both Avatar movies… I don’t care about the plot line as much as I do about the visual aspects of them. That’s why I go to see them. Fire and.Ash sounds like a bummer tho. I’ll still go for the absolutely amazing visual effects in the different looking animals and forests and sea.
How bout something original
Is it another Avatar? Then it’s not what we wanted
So does that mean it’s not gonna be a nearly 4 hour bloated mess with no story?
Don’t get me wrong, these movies look amazing but they’re so fucking boring.
Does anyone want more avatar movies?
Avatar 2 isn’t what fans wanted
I didn’t want anything. I’m interested in whatever story Cameron wants to tell. It’s his imagination and directorial talent that I’m a fan of.
Good. Filmmakers should stop giving audiences what they want and go back to making what they [the filmmaker] wants.
When I go to the mechanic I don’t tell them how I want my car fixed.
Fandom pandering is making blockbusters fucking BORING.
There are _Avatar_ fans?
Bro i just smoke a joint and go watch it in IMAX. Unbeatable experience
Are any of these what fans wanted?
I don’t go to Avatar for the story. It’s effective, but simple. I’m hear for the world and set pieces.
yea plot might be the most shameless collection of tropes probably ever, but Cameron always delivers uber professional spectacle on a scale I’ve rarely seen, so bring it and thank you
To be honest I’m getting tired of Avatar already, was hoping it would come to a nice finish with the third movie, I really don’t want to see multiple sequels.
Spoiler Alert: Jake is going to die, and Loak(son) will become new Jake
I like the movies. Excited for the next
That is a subtle way of saying that James Cameron is bringing us an Avatar: Fire and ASH Ketchum!
Not what the fans want? I love it already.
I fell asleep seeing both movies in theatres. I just want to see good cgi.
I don’t think Avatar has fans that want things.
I was a huge fan and defender of the first Avatar since day one. I honestly think I didn’t get to graduate film school with the rest of my class because I argued so much with my professor about it.
Avatar 2 was a fucking embarrassing travesty of a film. So if he says the next one isn’t what fans want…I honestly have no clue if that’s encouraging or discouraging.
stop giving fans what they want. they don’t know what they want.
“People want this? There’s no cultural impact!” – Redditors for the next however many years until this comes out and it makes $2,000,000,000
It’s about street racing!
He ain’t write masterpieces for the first two just visually pleasing popcorn stuffing time.
Don’t ever use the word brave when talking about making a movie.
Fans don’t give a fuck at this point.
I didn’t want the second one so…
While I respect his filmmaking skills, I don’t think James Cameron is known for bold choices in his storytelling. His storytelling is often very simple but with a high technical polish.
Avatar 3: The musical
“It’s a tricky thing. We could be getting high on our own supply here, and everybody who looks at it goes, ‘Fuck, that’s not what I signed up for.’ But if you’re not making brave choices, you’re wasting everybody’s time and money. That alone is not sufficient to create success, but it’s necessary. You’ve got to break the mould every fricking time.”
Cameron also revealed that audiences can look forward to high-intensity situations, noting that while they may get taken to “places they won’t expect,” those places “will feel earned.”
100% it will be as generic and broad and general as the others. There won’t be anything brave about it. it won’t break the mould. Everyone will come out of it and wonder what he was going on about.
Is it actually good?
I know it’s not what I wanted, which is for James Cameron to do anything else with his time and talents.

So James..You’re saying we’re not getting a good movie? Instead You’re putting out incredible special effects with a script written by…Glen…Glen the Bagel Guy? Is that what you’re saying?
James I saw a way with water and I was disappointing that film because the only saving grace was the big battle at the very end that you waited for it was just some long drawn out story until the big battle so hopefully you’re gonna have more fighting in the third movie
Nobody even knows wtf is actually happening, so it’ll be fine.
is it a musical can these blue guys sing
