  1. I see the neighbours also like to give out merch .Over the years Bulgarian politicians have given out candies , lighters , socks , pens and pocket calendars to win over voters . And ,lets not forget the gigantic grills parties they used to throw pre pandemic -were you could get free food for your (possible )vote .And people say there is no free lunch . There is – but only at election time .(One could imagine all the money that they saved during the pandemic since such cook out are not allowed due to the restrictions . )

  2. My grandad would request the conservative party car volunteers give him a lift to the polls for every election. When he got in, slowly, walking with his cane, he cast his vote for the labour party, for all the years of the rest of his life that I can remember. A gift they would not have wanted to give.

  3. I think this is illegal in Finland. Parties gives free things and food in hope for votes, but they don’t give anything from voting them.

  4. In my country, you would get a jar of conserved pork meat or a package of buckwheat if you voted for the commies. So many people voted only for this, especially the elderly without realizing they got tricked…

  5. It’s nice to see our fellow Balkan countries learning from invincible galaxy leader, the shadow of the prophet and his divine highness Erdoğan(!) However, you have to work harder. Creating a horde of zombies surviving on cheap pasta and bad quality coal is not an easy job!

  6. Here in Argentina this is extremely common. They even cut water deliveries to people that got not running water because they didn’t vote for them if I remember correctly.
