  1. In a striking appeal to global power dynamics, Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of the last Shah of Iran, has called upon former U.S. President Donald Trump to lend his influence in securing a resolution to the longstanding Cyprus dispute. In invoking the possibility of American intervention, Pahlavi appears to seek not only a diplomatic solution but also a broader validation of his vision for a more assertive, Western-aligned Middle East. The request, framed as an urgent plea for the finalization of the Cyprus Accords, underscores the extent to which the Iranian diaspora continues to look for Western intervention in regional conflicts, even as the geopolitical landscape grows increasingly complex and fragmented. Trump’s potential role in such a diplomatic endeavor, however, would be fraught with challenges—especially given his unpredictable foreign policy legacy and the shifting global order. Yet, for Pahlavi, this gesture serves as both a plea for international legitimacy and a reminder of his family’s enduring hopes for an influential place on the world stage.

  2. I genuinely don’t understand why a guy like him thinks that he has a divine right to have a say in what goes on in a country and feels like he represents the “other side” simply because his dad was in power at some point.

The entitlement is crazy. Not defending the mullahs but this is just a joke.

  3. Is Trump santa now? What is his proposal for uniting Israel, Arabs, and Iran? Or is he just contributing the concept of a plan

  4. He wants to be the frontman of a possible American intervention in Iran. But I can’t imagine the Iranian people accept another Pahlavi puppet coming to take power after US military intervention. This guy has been larping as a king/prince for close to 50 years now, move on man.

Iran’s domestic opposition to their conservatives have won the presidency. I don’t see how maximally pressuring those moderates in Iran will be beneficial. Run the clock out on the ayatollah and Iran would moderate even more without any intervention.
