Nashville to be connecting city for Iceland, Europe air travel | Tourism

The announcement follows Icelandair’s having said in November 2024 it plans air service connecting Nashville and Reykjavík, with the flights to launch on April 10 (read here).

That service will connect BNA to Reykjavík Airport and Icelandair’s European network of cities, including Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, London and Paris, among others.

In 2024, Icelandair and Southwest Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding with Baltimore as the first connecting airport. That service begins in February.

“The partnership will open new and exciting connections for our customers onwards with Southwest to numerous destinations in North America, and at the same time, their customers will benefit from our extensive connections to Iceland and Europe,” Tómas Ingason, Icelandair chief commercial officer, said in the release.

“We welcome Southwest to our strong partnership portfolio in the U.S. and ever-growing group of partner airlines and look forward to working together in offering our customers smooth and enjoyable travel experiences.”
