We really should open up Buckingham palace as a full on tourist money maker. It’s seen as their ‘home’ but really the royals never treated it as their home. It’s only the location that makes it noteworthy with it being in the heart of London.

I remember reading the royals actually hate Buckingham Palace as a residence. It’s too big, it’s cold and draughty. It takes forever to get anywhere inside it.
I don’t blame them for ditching the place. Makes more sense to turn it into a full on moneymaker via tourist income / turn it into a museum. They have Windsor Castle and their private residences that they actually like, so maybe it’s time to turn this one into something useful.
