  1. Whingeing miillionaire land owners feel the pinch like the rest of us.

    Saved you a click.

  2. Almost like leaving the EU single market and all of the subsidies was a bad idea. I have no sympathy for people who voted for the Leopard Eating Peoples’ Faces party and subsequently got their faces eaten.

  3. That’s strange, livestock prices are the highest they have every been

  4. Here’s another headline:

‘Supermarkets taking record profits while farms struggle’

  5. “Incomes across all farm types in Wales fell on average by 34 per cent. Dairy farmers saw their income drop by 59 per cent year on year as a result of a drop in milk prices compared to the previous year and input costs remaining elevated.”

Didn’t see a drop in milk prices. If anything, cream and butter prices have gone up significantly since pre-pandemic. It can only mean that the supermarkets buy from farmers cheaper than before, while hiking retail prices at the same time. The government in its turn does not do its job as it allows to block farmers from accessing the retail market at competitive prices and the supermarket chains to become monopolies.

  6. Nobody has any sympathy for this most selfish of sectors
