Trump’s Order to End EV Subsidies Draws Pushback and Doubt. Automakers and even some Republicans may fight it. While framed as a way to revive the US auto industry, the orders would cause carmakers to fall behind in the EV race currently led by China. “The impact of this will be significant.”

  1. This is policy making that only serves to illustrate how completely the US is held captive by business interests who demonstrate little to no concern for the common good. The US is woefully behind China in electrification, utterly lacking in its ability to either manufacture or deploy EVs and other electrification technologies.

This decision is driven entirely by the need for oil companies to liquidate their stranded assets as quickly as possible.

  2. EV is not the way. Hybrid vehicles are the way.

  3. I don’t understand why my taxes need to help other people buy cars? If they want to buy an electric vehicle then let them do it with their own money.

  4. If you stop EV subsidy you will need to ban Chinese EVs or put big tariffs on them to keep the playing field level.

  5. Biden promoted it, so Trump has to stomp it, regardless of the negative impact.

  6. How does taking away incentives to buy American cars help the car industry?

  7. No. The point is to prevent American competition so Musk, who has benefited the most the past decade, can run away in the American market.

  8. i work int he auto field as a machinist , we work with a couple Chinese auto makers. they are trash.

  9. The key thing nobody is grasping is

Trump is a HEDGIE profiting from his negativity campaign against the united states.

He’s creating instability by keeping the public divided

He’s restructuring the jobs market by kicking out immigrants and changing immigration policy

And he’s creating volatility in the market by causing foreign investors to take a second look at the stability of the United States

And he’s deregulating the markets and institutions which will result in wild fluctuations in the market and massive shifts in wealth.

  10. How does this help lower car prices in any way ? The only problem with the car industry is that cars cost so much that people can’t make payments.

  11. If you need a mandate to be in a race, are you REALLY in the race?

  12. Good . We get what our voters voted for. I hope it fucking hurts

  13. Lmao, y’all installed him by voting for this.

Get in line for your karma
