    One one the most widely cited papers in recent memory, this report disproves. Bernanke wrote about this paper – original research sponsored by NY Fed. Tariffs caused inflation that Fed needed 2 years to fix.

    IMO US economy can withstand certain shock, but will be crippling for trading partners, and will force new wave of economic migration – coinciding with interest rate and political cycles. People leave home walking only when they cannot stay. This will cause ruin in maquiladora communities. The only beneficiary is jingoistic isolationism and its politics.
