Boris Johnson’s six-point plan for Ukraine turns out to be six vague principles

  1. To be honest nobody in the whole ‘West’ seems to have a clue on how to really oppose Putin w/o triggering WW3… luckily he grossly miscalculated the strength of his army, the resolve of his opponents and the overall complexity of the war

  2. It must be so embarrasing to be British these days. Installed a ‘democracy’ that allows 37% of the electorate to control the country, have the narrative for this 37% controlled by foreign billionairs who bought their government.

    What a disgrace

  3. Was the 6 point plan so insignificant I only heard about it on Bojo’s Wojo Show (on Twitter, it’s a cartoon of you’ve not seen it) and here?

  4. Seems like a decent summary.

1: Get humanitarian aid to Ukraine and be nice to refugees.

2: Support Ukraine’s efforts to do whatever Ukraine wants to do.

3: Increase sanctions on Moscow – though not on anyone we quite like, even if they owe their billions to Vlad the Invader.

4: Tell Russia to shut up and go away.

5: Tell Russia to shut up and go away a bit louder if Russia hasn’t already shut up and gone away.

6: Try to ensure it never happens again.

  5. I suspect he hopes that other countries will do all the work for him, but he will sit back and proclaim he has done more than them all combined. He is fishing for ideas and testing the public reaction to his proposals before doing anything, useful or not.

  6. Well this is the government that dubiously dealt with advising on Covid restrictions. I assume his plan is:

    1. Condemn
    2. Disgrace
    3. Save Face
    4. Look Angry
    5. Vain Help
    6. Displace

It rhymes so it helps… somehow.

  7. I heard about this “plan”. Didn’t even Google to see what it was, as it was quite obvious that if it came from this government, it was going to be slogans…and well, not much more.

  8. Rather than (attempting to) coming up with a plan, how about just doing what the government of that country is **asking** for! THIS is part of the problem, trying to do what’s right for ‘us’ rather than doing what’s right for them!
    Honestly…
