1. If this was me I’d find it funny and just walk round the other isle, this is peak boomer, can’t be told no, have to have it their way.

   If you want to protest the slaughter of animals, perhaps a slaughterhouse should be the place you go?

6. People putting their ideology and beliefs over others and intentionally going out to mess with them. It’s completely unacceptable.

9. I once got pushed over in a supermarket for trying to put a bag of South African fruit in my trolley. I was pregnant at the time. Protests should be outside the stores. If farmers are breaking the law then report them. I expect to buy legally produced food

    Time to bring back accountability, if you get hurt by doing something stupid, it’s your own fault and protesters are going to soon learn nobody cares about their feelings

14. Vegetarian here, but I think these guys are idiots. Their actions just annoy people and complicate their days. And make them wanna buy a big old steak to eat, out of spite.

    What about this? Invite some meat-eating friends over and prepare them an amazing vegetarian dinner. If you’re a cook worth your salt, they will love it. And maybe, just maybe will spark a conversation about an issue you’re enthusiastic about. If it doesn’t then so be it. Just enjoy a nice night with friends.

16. This is aggravated trespass, so any common man has lawful ability to use reasonable force in the circumstances to move them along

    That aside, why is no one slapping them in the face with meat?

20. These people should be advocating for less meat consumption by the average person. I don’t believe you will ever get an entire population to not eat meat but you can certainly convince them to consume less.

22. I’m going to be honest – I think “animal rights” veganism is a load of horseshit and I don’t appreciate this type of person.

    HOWEVER.

    Protests are SUPPOSED to be disruptive. They’re supposed to inconvenience the average person, to make you stop and pay attention to them. That’s the whole point. Yes, the cause is bloody obnoxious. Yes, there’s better ways to go about it. But it’s always “Those damn protestors” until it’s a cause that YOU care about. We need to maintain the right to protest, and the right to protest in ways that inconvenience the average person, because as soon as we get reduced to petitions and quietly standing around holding signs, damn close to anything can be done to us and we won’t be able to fight back. And in today’s political climate, we should be worried about that. I urge all of you to remember what the richest man in the world did this Monday. Twice. On stage. On a broadcast watched around the world. To thunderous applause.

23. Not again. This has happened about 478 times in the last week. These protestors are very busy.

24. Groups like this should do something different, these kinds of protests garner publicity but it’s all negative and makes them look a bit like pillocks. 

    Maybe put some gorilla glue on a poster showing the horrible conditions in slaughter houses and stick them on freezers, social media campaigns or maybe doing something that annoys people with a public profile like an MP or the owner of Morrisons or something.

27. Where is a home shopper with their massive overweight trolleys when you need one.

28. Just carry the trolley over them, they’ll have to put hands on you to stop you and then it’s free game, they’re moaning on a shop floor instead of actually disrupting the supply chain in a way that would affect the industry, I doubt they fight well.

29. I so would of opened a packet of ham and gone to town on it in front of them, then grabbed some precooked chicken legs, “oh god this flesh tastes so good, feeling it’s moistness slide down my throat, yum yum” Hannibal lecter would be proud.

I would have left my trolly there, stepped over them, come back with arm fulls of meat, accidently dropped some on them while stepping back over them to get to my trolley and then asked them to help me load the really tasty dead animal meat I decided to buy because of their protest. But that’s just me…
