I always assumed these were holdovers from the Fat Frog era repurposed like when you had HB branded bins outside newsagents and such in the 90’s.
Little known fact: if you kiss a frog bin, it turns into a handsome prince bin. Try it.
Think it’s only Applegreens have them
I had an incredibly lucid dream where I was swallowed by one of those beasts. May have ended up in the ball pit
It never even occurred to me that only fuel stations have them. How delightfully weird.
That at Navan?

Seeing this unlocked a long-forgotten memory
My wife used to always stop at apple green for diesel and her mechanic told her it was muck from there. My daughter is distraught because she loved the frog bin but now its an indication of “yucky fuel”
☆Update- Just found out they are called ‘Froggo Bins’ and are made by Glasdon Ireland to encourage children to ‘feed litter to the bins’ and litter less 🐸💚
☆ Also found out they are available online and are 439 euro to buy 🤣🐸💚 maybe I’ll get a froggo bin myself one day!
There used to be one of these outside Josephine’s in Urlingford, where the buses between Cork and Dublin would stop and leave you out for a break, before they built the bypass. I wonder where it is now.
Love them. Would buy
There was or may still be one outside an Apple garage usually.
