Given the recent change in government it probably won’t be long until they’re saying the same about women.
I’m assuming this article is regarding their treatment as being “inhumane” or something like that. Allowing for terrible treatment because they aren’t entitled to the same protections as a human…
Which in some respects… of course. But in others, kind of bleak.
Don’t forget it!
The blue haired folks gonna be sad they can’t identify as one.
Yet companies are go figure?
People that keep animals in captivity for money, are not people.
So in the US, the Republicans/GOP (symbol is an elephant) aren’t people?
Sounds about right.
So a bunch of hairless apes with individual personalities, societal structures, rules and traditions are people but a bunch of giant hairless pig/camel/rhino things with individual personalities, societal structures, rules and traditions aren’t people.
Sounds like bullshit from a group of people who want an excuse to abuse another group of people to me.
Nice to see the US courts are able to get something right.
This was posted on another sub and this is a copy and paste of a comment over there:
“This is my local zoo. It is one of the top rated in the country for providing well above average care for all of their animals, not just the elephant herd. They donate thousands of dollars every year from memberships to conservation groups, and focus primarily on heavily endangered species. They also have one of if not THE top giraffe breeding programs in the country, with very few deaths in infancy (I believe only 1 or 2 in over 50 years).
This is a ruling after some extreme animal rights group tried to apply the same appeals process that prisoners are entitled to. Little do they know those elephants have a better life than they ever will.”
How long until this is overruled by the Trump administration?

Glad we cleared that. Been wondering for years.
You know what?
I never knew that.
The new Einsteins, people!
Simply genius.
