Lads – you can do your tax return for 2024 now. I did mine last night, took me 20 minutes and then 24 hours later, a nice rebate in the bank!

Trying to contact them over a paye question. Submitted it via their help form two weeks ago. No response….
Agreed, it’s my favourite time of year and they’re super quick to transfer any over payment.
Im always afraid i might have underpaid and have my credits hurt
I owe them 1 cent
Nah, sounds boring.
Is this the rent tax credit?
Oh you sweet summer child.
Just wait until “tax returns” equates to you paying them a fcuk tonne.
0.00 every time
Mine was 0.00 wtf 😭
Usually get a few quid back alright. Last year was about 300
Bagsy €500
Did mine on Jan 2nd and got my money by the 5th, nice start to the year.
I underpaid by 8cent 😅
Last time I did that they decided I owed them money somehow. Even when everyone else I worked with got money back.
Not making the same mistake again.
People need to realize when you get a refund from Revenue its because you overpaid taxes in the year, it’s not a windfall it your money. Most of the time people who get refunds are people who had breaks in employment or work multiple jobs etc. if you work the same job earning the same pay all year chances are you have not overpaid and so will not be due a refund. Also be careful as your statement of liability can come up with an underpayment that you owe it’s not always a refund.
I did mine and I owe them 900 euro. Brilliant
Copy paste I’ll put in every year –
You can claim loads of tax back on employer health insurance plans
If you get health insurance through your work you might be owed tax back.
Log into your Revenue account and go to the Tax Credits and Relief section. Check that Medical Insurance Relief is €1000. If it’s anything less than that, add up all your health insurance payments from your payslips and enter it there. If it’s over €1000, it’ll revert back to €1000 anyway.
Mine was saying €269 for some reason. When I changed it to €1,000, Revenue is giving me back €146.20 per year (20% of 1000-269).
I’m apparently getting €700 back but that was two days ago, haven’t seen the money hit my Revolut yet..
Is there a quick way to claim the working at home allowance? They’re looking for each utility bill now? I swear I just put in a lump sum the last few years
I underpaid 23 cent for 2024 and around 600 blips each for the three years prior. Balls to that.
Sorry can somebody help me, what does this mean? Is this my refund? Or do I have to wait until SOL is processed. Thanks in advance

I owe them five cents from last year but the sound lads at revenue said they aren’t going to collect it at this time. Happy enough all the same.
Got 2 grand at the start of the year 🤑
Looks like I’m getting nearly 3k back😁
€0.00 tidy
Tax credits that almost everyone can claim back: Rent Tax Credit, Working from home relief, Health expenses and Medical Insurance Credit. Have your receipts ready and put things in accordingly
I wouldn’t get any rebate but they have this idea that I have an ability to value a house for some reason.
Now I’m not a property valuer so they take (steal) money from me every month for what they call a local property tax.
I owe them €350 🙁
4,515, but that was for 2 years
I typically let it sit and do a few years together as I always get a nice lump so it’s like having a little emergency fund that I can tap into if I ever need
Got 60hrs worth of holidays paid out last week and then this lands yesterday morning, happy days 😂
