We are facing an energy crisis and this stuff is still allowed?
It was one of the sound decisions re PoW crypto and it would’ve helped to phase it out.
hypothetical genuine question i am too lazy to research myself: if we consider the energy requirements (banks IT, offices, people driving etc) of segments of the financial industry which could be replaced by cryptos and block chain tech. Is PoW more energy intensive ? Does anyone have an idea of the general magnitude?
