  3. I almost had a heart attack because I thought that Musk did this, but it was done by activists. Great move. A bit sad when the Venn diagram of reality and satire is a perfect circle, though.

  9. There is no question about what we saw. But part of me really tried to see it differently…*hoped* it was something different.. *hoped* he was just oblivious… and then I heard something yesterday that made a lot of sense. If you think it’s a normal motion or he really was trying to “send his heart out” to people, if you are trying to justify it (“it’s just the roman salute! Hur dur”) then do the exact same thing at the place where you work, or in public somewhere, and see what the response is.

  19. I tap my heart like a thousand times a day because my mentor used to do it as a show of thanks and respect.

    What I don’t do is immediately pump it up into a Nazi salute.

    I even tried to do it in the shower today and it wouldn’t happen unless I actively thought “do the nazi salute.” If someone has muscle memory like that, uhhh, you lost the benefit of the doubt.

  28. Any decent person would be horrified at being accused of doing a Nazi salute and immediately apologise if they hadn’t intended to do one, or in Musk’s case, two. But that is what he intended and he’s a shit human being.
