  1. Far right nut jobs hijacked concerns about immigrant hotels in Llanelli. – it’s an article that covers events were all well tuned into, or most of us anyway.

Personally I don’t think anyone hijacked legitimate concerns. The whole hotel issue was artificially created for the right wing. Prayed on peoples fears and dormant xenophobia is more correct.

  2. It just feels like we are in a perpetual cycle of denial about the reality of the problem.

The mainstream political left is primarily socially liberal and economically neoliberal with social democrat leanings. The mainstream political right is primarily socially conservative and economically neoliberal with libertarian leanings.

This creates a real, sizeable hole in our politics for people who are primarily socially conservative but economically left wing with interventionist leanings.

It just seems to me that everyone recognises that this is where a large part of the public are, but think that if they just do a bunch of dog whistling or some better communications they can get their votes by pretending to agree with them while denouncing everyone else doing the exact same thing.

  3. What a patronising fucking article.

I was wondering how you could “groom” (great choice of words considering current news) an entire town but I suppose they are simpleton working class Welsh people.

  4. The government draws you so many taxes such as NI and INCOME TAX and COUNCIL TAX, make us so hard, they stay in hotels, you say not angry is false, in favor of those are not done, is studying student

  5. This is a shitty article. The far right aren’t “piggybacking on legitimate concerns”, they’re pushing the narrative.

All *patriotic alternative* is doing is saying “those people” are the ones causing your standard of living to decrease, when in reality it is price gouging corporations in an unregulated market.

People are either too lazy or too ignorant to look.
