  1. Met Éireann have declared a united Ireland. Clearly in the Ra

Hope this doesn’t affect my boat home from Liverpool tomorrow night

Edit: just got a message from Stenna Line, could be disruption or cancellation 🙈

  2. Might as well put the kettle on wait for the whole thing to blow over.

  3. Almost hoping for a power outage in my area, so I can’t work from home 😅

  4. Interestingly the uk has only had one other red weather warning apart from this one in England in 2023

  5. To put it into perspective this weather event is being reported in the news in the US and Canada. The US have sent one of their C130 storm chaser planes to track it.

Even if it turns out to be half of what they are saying it’s going to be very bad.

  6. If there is one person out swimming in Galway I vote they have to move to America lads !!!

  7. Think companies need to have policies for extreme weather now so many people unsure of what to do or if there paid etc

  8. Non Irish person here – what does that warning mean?

  9. Do I have to pay VRT on a trampoline that gets blown in from NI

  10. Shout outs to a couple of dipshits in work claiming they always make it out to be worse than it is, and a supervisor (not mine thank gods) who was telling an underlying that if it’s downgraded to orange at 6am you’d be expected to come in, after our combined areas have already been told to come in.

Remember folks, no job is worth dying or injuring yourself over.

  11. Came onto here to look at how bad it will be in Ireland and just as I was doing that the Met Office have now issued a red weather warning for the west coast of Scotland. Ooft for me

  12. isn’t only in the morning ? it says it stop at 10am
