Once again our tiny island shows the ability to punch above its weight, g’wan!
Sure but a wave at 50ft is very very different than the entire ocean rising 50ft and moving inland.
Tsunami destruction is more so about if’s power – a powerful tsunami travels far inland and fast.
Master, forgive me, but it looks like I’ll have to go all out and slap that wave away … Just this once
But in all seriousness people who live close to the sea on the West coast should be asked to stay with family. It’s just one night and we don’t exactly have the infrastructure to manage 50ft waves.
The Wesht always get a raw deal
So you’re saying don’t go swimming?
I genuinely need to buy toilet roll this evening and now shoppers will think I’m panic buying.
Aileen’s will be going off like Mavericks. Shame about the wind.
Right, get in.. I’m off to the swimming platform in salthill
Don’t make unnecessary journeys, don’t take risks on treacherous roads
The lads have in Wesht will have the surfboards ready
This is the kind of thing that I sometimes wish you could have buoys or oil rigs or some drone or seagull or something have livestreams during storms. XD
*”Waves back”*

Well lads. We’re gonna be washed away at this rate. It was real nice knowing you all… barely.
150km/h wind forecast in Castlebar
I’d love to see pictures of it!

How long till we see someone Swimming at Salthill?
I checked the Windy app and the highest waves are currently 10metres. That’s high, but not quite 50 feet high. 10 metres = 32 feet
Sounds a bit hard to fathom
This is arsehole puckered tighter than a snaredrum weather
What’s the source? I’m curious to keep an eye on that myself.

*Urge to jump off Blackrock diving tower intensifies*
Waves projected to reach nearly 50 feet high!

How many meters is that? I don’t do imperial units
I wish we do more to use those waves to generate electricity

Great, do I need to shave my legs if we are all going swimming…
