American disco group the Village People made a name for themselves in the late-70s for their chant-along dance-pop hits and their colorful on-stage personas. Their best known hit, “Y.M.C.A.,” is widely considered a gay anthem — and became a staple of Trump’s rallies in the last election, along with their hit “Macho Man.” The American disco group is set to perform at one of Trump’s inaugural balls and a rally he’s holding in Washington the day before he’s sworn in.

  18. I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem — greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with my Abby Joseph Cohen my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

  23. This song came out 45 years ago. Anyone that was a fan back then, has already purchased this song, & already purchased it on a music app.
    The cop is the only band member that still performing. It’s not like the village people are constantly touring, and need their strong fan base from the 1970s.
    This song is worldwide known, and it’s even more worldwide known, because of all this. So it really doesn’t matter if they lose their old fans from the 1970s.
    & I could assure you that, when this song comes, on with those same fans, they’re still gonna dance/grove to it. They’re not gonna say: “I’m going to boycott them now”
    It’s not like sugar, or a light beer, that’s something you boycott, or a commodity that you need for the rest of your life.
