ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) -The Local Business Acceleration Workshop, hosted by Louisiana Central, officially kicked off Thursday night.
The event offered local entrepreneurs an exciting opportunity to grow their businesses and is a part of the Business Acceleration System.
The Business Acceleration System is a month-to-month program designed to support small business growth through a combination of coaching, expert advice, classroom lessons, and online training. Business owners can participate in the workshop on a month-to-month basis, gaining valuable tools and resources to help scale their businesses.
David Edens, owner/operator of Super Dave Auto Spa, emphasized the importance of constant investment in both personal growth and business development.
“If you want to grow a business, you need to invest in yourself. But you also need to meet other people who are willing to help you along the journey,” Edens said.
He highlighted his own experience as a new business owner, noting that attending workshops like these provides the crucial support needed to grow and expand a business.
Gary Perkins, Executive Director of the Business Acceleration System, spoke about the program’s value in strengthening local businesses and the economy.
“Building strong businesses in Central Louisiana helps grow our economy. If we spend money at chain stores or big national companies like Amazon, that money never comes back. But when we support local entrepreneurs, that money circulates in our economy and helps us all grow,” Perkins explained.
For entrepreneurs, the workshop is an opportunity to connect with experts and fellow business owners, gaining valuable insights into business operations and strategies.
