  9. They proposed a Constitutional amendment. It will never be passed by Congress (requires two-thirds) and it will never be ratified.

    But people need to stop just dismissing this kind of thing because it stand no chance at passing. It’s signalling to conservatives that if they keep voting for them, they will keep trying to pass this kind of thing. It might not happen in the next 4 years, or the next 15 years. They spent 50 years trying to push virtual signalling bills overturning Roe that never went anywhere but look how things turned out. “Keep voting for us and we’ll keep fighting for this”

But If this actually happens, Trump would be 82 when it starts and 86 by the end, making him the oldest president ever, so much for their argument about age.
