Is there a language with an expression which describes actions both endearingly thick and also conveying supremacist hostility. Chadorable?
I blame the schools.
And the parents.
And the entire country.
Can they all move onto thinking they’re Welsh, or Scottish, or British, or literally anyone else?
Douce bag American being a douce bag
Dickwad alert, more like.
All it’s missing is an Ivorian flag.
It’s a joke. Someone made a joke.
Someone actually posted that? Where? Why the fuck would you post such shite?
Why do people post these same images of Americans all the time, as a foreigner I feel Irish people tend to be repetitive on this sub, far more than other countries subs, it’s usually getting insecure about some trash a British person wrote or some overly happy American making an Irish ancestry comment. It’s a bit concerning how downright obsessive it is. It’s just an American being an American.

Was trying to find a more clever way to say it but, as an American living in Ireland, please don’t think that idiot represents all of us. There are tons of ignorant people in the US (the education system is a failure) , and they usually get the attention, but we are not all like that. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to stop the ignorance, it’s just getting louder. I love living in this country even though it’s not my country, and I’m trying to learn. It is frustrating to imagine that everyone who hears my accent starts with that assumption of what a “typical” American is.
“Oh look at me I dyed a river in green I’m so Irish”, this is the most plastic paddy bullcrap I’ve ever heard. There is no such dick race called “being a better Irish” but trying to have a dick race for everything is so American.
did they ever actually dye the liffey green like they were threatening to pre-covid or does that remain an american fascination?
The likelihood of Americans thinking about people in other countries *at all* makes me feel like this is a bait post, specifically tailored to rile u’s up.
Same prick probably calls it Patty’s Day. Fucking redneck 😂😂😂
As an Irish American I think the British should give Ireland back to the Irish
The fact they use the term ’emerald isle,’ (no capital letters even) says to me nah.
Chucky R. Law
Tiocfaidh urlar.
Thanks for posting, this post finally made me feel something.
Rage
shit’s fake.
See, this is why us Irish Americans can’t have nice things smh
No one realize this sub is more obsessed with America than they are with us, no?
It sounds like a fetish at this stage
Honestly, I can’t think of anything else more pathetic than Americans who hold onto another country’s history and culture as part of their identity, because their actual culture and identity is country founded by racist slave owners with a taste for native genocide.
Hate the way some people take the comment of one or a small group of Americans and then present it here as if it’s representative of American attitudes and then everybody goes along with it.
Irish-Americans, also known as Americans.
Has to be trolling
Wow now their stupid in 2 languages
Yous cunts aren’t even good at being American fs
Don’t be shy, leave the name on there
Thick Fad Orla to you all and to all a confusing night!

You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is “Never get involved in a land war in Asia,” but only slightly less well known is this: “Never believe a shitpost from an englishman”
It’s very easy to make this up.
And then have someone like you fall for it.
Reminds me of when I was in a pub in Ireland trying out some of my Irish and a lad got upset with me saying I was belittling him for knowing more Irish than he does and trying to instigate something when I just asked Conas atá tú?
Sad times 🙁
Used to make shit up when in america…
Women are only pregnant for 6 months in ireland. There are no tuesdsys in ireland et al. All believed. Nutters
Currently engaged in a debate with one who is adamant that the 17th of March is called Patty’s day not Paddy’s day. Like why are you arguing with Irish people about what the day dedicated to celebrating Irish culture is called!??
This has to be a shitpost, to even go as far as use an IRA slogan and butcher it worse than Oliver Cromwell in Scarlet Street

We should release a statement.
I fucking hate this, I’m not even sure what this means. If it is supposed to mean that we are more Irish than the actual Irish that is beyond stupid. As someone who is over half of Irish decent and as an American I can not stand the depth of stupidity, ignorance, and blind pride of a lot of Americans.
That’s clearly a troll
Very obviously a joke. The only thick fools in this scenario are the people that think the comment is a genuine one.
FACTS: GERMANY IS MORE IRISH THAN IRELAND 🇧🇪🇨🇮🇧🇪
I was born to ‘blow ins’ in a beautiful coastal Irish village, and the amount of fucking Americans on holidays, wandering about the place, telling me that they were REALLY from there and I wasn’t…. It was bad enough the locals telling me I wasn’t ‘from’ there, but old Irish Americans getting all smugly proprietorial about the place was infuriating.
