Literally no one on this list is anything other than self serving. Every single person on this list could disappear and the world would be a better place.
Man, and being at 0.01 on this graph would mean 10 million dollars, which I’d consider enough to live the rest of my life on, while living quite lavishly.
Kinda seems shocking at first if you’re simply comparing the relative fame of all these people and expecting that wealth should correlate very strongly with fame.
But it makes a ton of sense if you think about why these individuals are wealthy. Owning businesses that serve massive global market demand is gonna make you much richer than having lots of household recognition through one-off entertainment products like movies, shows, sports, etc

I think a lot of people aren’t getting what op is going for here… To me, this isn’t a comparison where the other category is supposed to line up well. The point is that Elon and Co are so wealthy that they’re worth X times more than all these other wealthy people put together.

FYI Elon was up to 400 billion in december 2024 so that chart he has would be even larger. Which is crazy to think that his wealth almost doubled in less than 2 months.
