  1. One of these days he’s going to be one of the victims and won’t that be fun.

  2. This big inflatable manatee is gonna regret this the day Mar-a-Lago and its onsite McDonald’s float out to the Atlantic

  3. Interesting that Republican attacks on Presidential power through EO’s as being like a monarchy only extends to when a Democrat is the President.

  4. Trump just wants to be in control of aid so he can put whatever conditions he wants on it. He’s already talking about how California needs to pass a voter ID law if they want aid.

  5. That’ll work well for NC, Florida, Louisiana. Whatever.

  6. so he wants to deport 10 million immigrants, and so far he’s moved less than 600. at this pace we’ll be deporting folks for the next 45 years.

  7. * Trump abolishes FEMA and gives its funding to the states

    * States need additional capacity quickly and hire tons of the FEMA people to do the work they no longer get federal support with

    * States understand within about 12 seconds that emergencies happen at different times around the country, and that a reciprocal mechanism to loan and surge expert staff, trucks, planes, supplies, and funding between states would be advantageous to all

    * 3 weeks after FEMA deleted, the Multi State Emergency Management Agency (MSEMA) is born, under the governance of a rotating board of Governors

  8. So my tax dollars (PA Resident) wont go to supplementing states that probably need to be abandoned due to climate change?

  9. He is just following Putins order to destroy America from inside.

  10. So yuck question: can he actually eliminate an agent with just an executive order?

  11. FEMA isn’t just post-disaster assistant. They also manage the National Flood Insurance Program for many people who would not otherwise be eligible for coverage. Aside from it being a humanitarian disaster, this is also just an economic disaster waiting to happen. Probably will only have to wait one hurricane season.

  12. Perhaps this will convince some MAGAs that FEMA isn’t out to get them. You know, when the actual help stops. Probably not, though.

My dad used to say “people who don’t listen have to feel,” and I’m just wondering how much feeling it’s going to take with this bunch.

  13. This is the first step to the breakup of the United States. Why would States bother to fund federal taxes when they don’t receive federal help in emergencies?

And as others have said, trump will play King, handing out emergency relief only to States that bow down to him.

The US is so over; we are watching the end of a nation in real time. Reminds me of when the USSR broke up.

  14. Nope…Congress would have end FEMA..not saying that he won’t try though.

  15. That requires an act of Congress, but of course, this only matters if Congress were willing to stand up to him. Which they’re not.
