Royal watchers believe Prince Harry should fly solo to the upcoming Invictus Games 2025 – without Meghan Markle at his side.
Responding to an Express UK poll, people deliberated over whether Meghan, 43, should be present with Harry, 40, during next month’s Invictus Games in British Columbia, Canada, which is slated from February 8th to February 16th.
While Harry, the founder of the Invictus Games since 2014, never misses the biennial event, Meghan has also been a regular, despite not being involved in its inception, because she likes to be supportive of her husband, reports Daily Express UK.
Following recent backlash from a scathing Vanity Fair piece that criticized the Duchess for alleged “mean girl” conduct towards former staff, claiming some required “long-term therapy” after their tenure, the consensus is veering towards her absence this time. Neither of the Sussexes has addressed the allegations.
In the online survey, which was live for two days, January 22 – January 24, 94 percent of 3,638 participants voted against Meghan accompanying Harry to the games, while only five percent, amounting to 187 voters, were in favor, and 29 remained undecided.
Coram-James looked at the options: “On the flip side, if Meghan doesn’t attend, people will inevitably speculate – “Are they growing apart? Are the Sussexes in trouble?'”
He conceded: “She’s in a damned-if-she-does, damned-if-she-doesn’t situation.”
