The photo was taken today, January 24th, 2025 in the evening hours during a protest in Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava.
It was one of the largest protests in recent Slovak history, with over 60,000 participants present. Including protests in other major Slovak cities, the total number of participants ranged between 100,000 and 110,000.

1000’s of people protesting under the slogan “Slovakia is Europe” against the policies of the pro-russian Fico and his government took place in more than 20 Slovak cities. One city, Košice, it was estimated the turnout was around 15,000.
Meanwhile, smaller protests with the slogan “Slovakia is not Ukraine” were also organised in some cities. In Bratislava for example, approx. 40 people attended.
The days are numbered for putin’s little bitch.
Congratulations Slovakia, greetings from Serbia!
I wish it could happen in Hungary too… best wishes to the slovakian and serbian protesters! Do not give up, like us 😞
best to directly kick autocrats between the legs
If, only Hungary and Belarus also doing the same.
We Slovaks should get inspired by the general strike in Serbia! Otherwise the gov will never be topped. General strike is the best peaceful way
Bratislava is not MoSSkow and S❤️akia is not RuSSian gubernia despite some uneducated idiots!
Best of luck, great people of Slovakia! Your fighting spirit is inspirational 🙂
