  1. I wonder if people daring to talk about it negatively will be a cultural issue or if they’ll be arrested…

  2. It’s very unclear from the article what the issue is. If they were literally standing outside the school filming, surely someone would have taken a photo to prove it?

  3. If you move to another country then you live by the “cultural expectations” of the host country

  4. Extremely rude of the residents. To me this seems like casual racism that we need to stamp out.

Maybe we need to start charging people over hate speech?

  5. Seems like a direct consequence of the rise in publicity around the grooming gangs, now any non white man near a primary school is scary for people. Not sure the police can do anything about black and brown men existing near a school.

When people act confused about white privilege, white privilege is nothign to do with riches, its things like me being able to talk to friends near a school without people thinking I’m a member of a paedophile gang.

  6. Wowzers, that copper that says they’ve checked it out and there’s “no risk” has just given a bit of a hostage to fortune!

  7. “Migrants have been staying in a hotel outside the village for around three years”

Three years… they are probably bored… right?

  8. Taught secondary until a few years ago. Midlands city. Girls began to report being harassed by Albanian young men gathering in town centre.

    1. Didn’t know Albania was in EU or Commonwealth.

    2. Girls really fed up with it- more than just teen banter.

    3. Nothing done about it.

    4. We have NO idea who’s in the country and why. It’s ridiculous. No ID system, no follow up if people overstay and disappear. Countries I know like Finland or Singapore would find that utterly crazy. Neither are police states but everyone accepts it’s completely logical for a country to have this information. Of course both countries don’t allow any access to public education or health unless electronic ID card presented. ID Cards issued by police and checked on database. We are pathetic when it comes to this area.

  9. Shouldn’t these doctors and engineers be at work, not outside primary schools?
