  1. Anyone know if the power outage is affecting mobile masts as well? Was talking to the parents out in sticks early yesterday but both phones are not connecting since then.

  2. They’d reduced it from ~725K premises to 540K by the nine o’clock news bulletin last night, which is nearly 30% in only 12 hours.

They’ll continue to prioritise the biggest faults first and get the maximum number of people back online.

In Northern Ireland they’re quoting up to 10 days for some areas to get reconnected.

  3. Now I know what those fellas in “The Walking Dead” had to live like.

  4. Our whole village and the next town over is out. Both on the same supply so I’m hoping it will be restored sooner rather than later since it’s over 1100 people.
Especially as our whole house is electric we have no other heat sources, it’s getting a tad chilly 😅
Eagerly waiting for the ETA’s to be announced.

  5. Only estate in the town without power now. Everywhere else around back to normal except us.

  6. Storms like this, although unprecedented today will become more frequent as the years go by.

It’s crazy to me that we can have hundreds of thousands of people already impacted by extreme weather changes and have a climate change denier as minister.
